While I have my tried and true makeup faves (eh hem, Jane Iredale) I'm still open to explore my face palate options, especially from a line made with organic ingredients. Inika Organic's products are made out of "botanicals and minerals" and are ethically sourced. Guilt free beauty? Count me in!
When you're a label reader, it's refreshing to read ingredients that you recognize. Ingredients in this kit include coconut oil, green tea, and aloe vera, among others.
This light/medium kit includes an Organic Primer (with hyaluronic acid), liquid foundation and two powders (I gather there are two powders included so that you can find your perfect shade).
The primer included in my kit is made with hyaluronic acid to hydrate my skin and increase elasticity (and in my late thirties my face can use all the elasticity it can get!). The primer also includes coconut oil, jojoba, and apricot kernel.
Browsing through their website a few items catch my fancy. Like the Loose Mineral Powder with SPF 25 because let's be honest, I am NOT going to reapply sunblock during my work day. And by layering mineral powder over a liquid foundation I'd be flawless like my dreams.
The organic lip glaze in coral is also an eye catcher. Lip gloss is like icing on the cake, and as odd as it may seem, the older I get, more daring I'm willing to get with my lip glosses. Nude shades were for my twenties, and I've saved the flashy, sexy lips for my thirties.
Also on my wish list is the vegan mascara. It's plant derived. I've never seen a mascara made out of plant ingredients and I think my sensitive eyes would appreciate all that. The directions indicate to use one coat for length and two for volume. I think I will be taking three coats to get all that I can with my thin, little lashes.
