Foods, and other environmental factors, have the power to affect our bodies – for better or worse.
We put food in our mouths, but it’s no secret that most of us don’t make the best dietary and lifestyle choices.Humans are creatures of habit. If we’re going to add something to our repertoire, even if it is beneficial, it has to be easy, and it has to fit in our routine.
I was able to try the product Calibr8.by Clari8y. The company advertises that the red, tangy beverage is not just another "superfood drink." Rather, its nutrition allows your body to produce its own antioxidants to prevent things like disease and premature aging.
Let's be honest, I'm very open to try a product that will make me younger and healthier!
Every day (nearly!) I added a spoonful of the red powder mixture to liquid. At first, I added it to my chocolate pea powder breakfast shake. But soon, I learned it tasted well on its own. It reminded me of the long-lost fruit drinks that I had forgone as soon as I realized that sugars were terrible for me.
Taste: It’s tangy. It’s added a zip to my chocolate breakfast shakes.
Mixing it into a glass of ice water makes for a refreshing beverage on it’s own. Basically, it’s such that if you mix it with cold ice water, hand it to a kid, and tell them that it’s Kool-aid, they wouldn’t know the difference.
I’m tempted to add it to a carbonated water to make a soda-like beverage.
The word on the street is that it even makes for a healthy martini mixer.
Color: It’s my favorite color - fushia. As humans we naturally gravitate towards brightly colored foods (a fact that junk food companies have capitalized on in making candies and breakfast cereals). Calibr8 utilizes beet juice and purple carrots to provide a legitimate allure.
Ease: I don’t have to hunt down fresh and potent superfoods on a daily basis.
Ingredients: I’m not a nutritionist or a doctor, so I’ll let those sources do the talking on the subject.

Neutrogenomics – how food affects the genes. There are “switches” on the genes that turn off and on based on food and environmental factors.
Broccoli sprouts – contain sulforaphane, which can turn off inflammatory genes.
Curcumin – also beneficial for inflammation.
Bioferine – from black pepper; increases absorption of nutrients.
Black Cumin – antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal.
Glutathione – antioxidant.
While I can’t ascertain for certain whether this product is affecting me on a genetic level, I can say that I like the taste and from the second day forward, I was craving a glass of it!
Additionally my chiropractor did a muscle test on my use of the product, and the test indicated that my body liked it. I agree!
